Family, extended family, and commitment

Bill and Nancy Claerbout established the Dutchland Plastics Corporation in 1967. Their sons, Carl and Daven, worked with their parents as business partners for twenty years before assuming complete ownership on January 19, 2006… the day after Bill's 80th birthday.

Daven's children, Lindee and Billy, are the third generation of Claerbouts to be involved in the company. They work with Dutchland's extended family of approximately 200 other dedicated, loyal employees who make up the Dutchland foundation… our well-respected reputation.

We also have a reputation for our commitment to great quality and excellent service. As seen in our values, we are very serious about quality; we are ISO certified, we use quality as one of our metrics, and we also prepare daily quality reports that are shared with everyone throughout the company.

Dutchland Plastics also has a diverse team of customer service representatives, which includes our engineers, customer relations associates, and sales force, led by Daven, one of our owners.

We were recently honored to present our customer service practices at the Association of Rotational Molders (ARM) Annual Meeting as well as a presentation on our use of robotics. ARM is our industry specific organization, which we have been actively involved in since 1978. Dutchland has received numerous awards in the annual product competition. Daven has been an ARM Board Member for over ten years and is currently serving as its Past President. Dutchland’s Tedd Mentink and Eric Brill serve on ARM committees.

Dutchland Plastics is advantageously located with facilities in Wisconsin, New York, and South Carolina. Our corporate headquarters is in the small town of Oostburg, WI, which has close proximity to Milwaukee and Chicago. We also have excellent relationships with our pattern and mold makers, who are conveniently located less than 30 minutes away.

Dutchland Plastics houses eight rotational machines and twelve blow molding machines. We have the capabilities to meet some of the largest dimensions in the industry, with up to 17 feet in length for our rotational molding and up to a 65 pound shot for our blow molding. Currently, we are aiming toward continuous improvement with our commitment to lean manufacturing including one-piece flow.

Our families, and our extended family, look forward to working with yours.
